About Me: As an avid hockey fan and die-hard supporter of the Edmonton Oilers, my passion for the game runs deep. Whether it's cheering for my team or analyzing the league's dynamics, I live and breathe hockey. The dream? To carve a niche in the hockey world, contributing to the sport I love in some form or another.
I began playing hockey at the ripe age of 3 in my hometown of Duchess, Alberta. That journey took me so many places around the world. I was lucky enough to play in the AJHL while pursuing my dream of playing College Hockey. I used to be a stud, got into 5 games with the Olds Grizzlys as a 15 year old (Kind of a Big Deal!) then played 3 years with the Olds Grizzlys, Calgary Canucks and Drumheller Dragons. I decided to go to school early cause the junior life was not all it was cracked up to be. My Coaches and I often had a love hate relationship with more hate then love, but he thrived on that and some of you may know him as the "dirtiest fighter to ever play the game" as Bob Probert called him in his book. Brian Curran - I have fond memories of being screamed at while you can still taste the dart on his breath. I once got scored on while defending a 3 on 1 (I was a defenseman) and came back to the bench just getting chewed out by the Colonel, as everyone called him, I proceeded to tell him to go F*ck himself along with many other nice things and he just smiled and said "I've been waiting for that for so long. Get your ass back out there" looking back now I am so thankful for all these memories.
I ended up committing to Liberty University to play college hockey which was the best decision of my life. I have so many lifelong friends and amazing memories from that place. I think I was on the ice for every goal for and against, but that's what happens when your logging 30 mins a night. I majored in Marketing and Automotive Dealership management in undergrad and then went back for Grad school to get my MBA. I mostly did it for the hockey, but hey it looks good on my resume now that I had to grow up and get a real job.
I met my beautiful wife in College and we got married in August of 2020. We have 3 dogs; Loki, Goose, & Duck. We had a beautiful baby girl in December 2023. She is already a die hard hockey fan at one month old and will hopefully be following in her mothers footsteps to become a 3x National Champion.
